I had a terrible experience during my Christmas stay at this hotel. The room had a strong smell of cheap cologne that made me nauseous.

For the extremely high price level in San Francisco, the motel is absolutely fine. The cleanliness was okay, the decor was obviously getting on in years. The bathroom was renovated not too long ago. There was a coffee pod machine in the room. The approximately 8 parking spaces are allocated according to availability, after which it becomes difficult in the area. The biggest advantage, however, is the location on Lombard Street with a very good bus connection to the city center. A yacht harbor with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge is about 10 minutes away on foot. There is a CVS market and various restaurants in the area (Mel's Diner is highly recommended). The area around the motel is absolutely safe, you can also walk around the area at night.

The rooms are (as so often in SF) very noisy, the location directly at a busy intersection is certainly not for late risers. The air conditioning or heating was broken, but we did not ask.

The lack of carpeting or rugs in the room, as the hardwood floor made it quite chilly, especially in the cold San Francisco weather. The Wi-Fi connection in our corner room was also weak and unstable, making it difficult for us to stay connected during our stay.

Very well located, you are right on the highway to the Golden Gate Bridge. You can get to the city very well by bus, taxi or Uber. Staff is very friendly, explained the area on arrival and how to get to the sights of the city. Rooms are clean, inexpensive and above all with parking.

Great location for wandering around the Palace of Fine Arts Event Venue. My room, although small, was clean and had all the necessary toiletries. Plus, don't forget the convenience of being just a short walk away from such a beautiful sight! 🏞️
